In the past, instructors were required to fill out a form and wait for iTunes U courses to be setup manually. The iTunes U Dashboard puts the control of iTunes U course creation into the hands of instructors, and allows for nearly instant setup of course podcasts. Features include the ability to:
- Create individual podcasts for each course section, or combine sections into a single podcast
- Create private course podcasts which only instructors and students can see, or share your content in the public podcast directory
- Setup drop-boxes so students can upload podcasts
- Allow additional users to access private podcasts so instructional designers or other support staff can help manage courses
